Meet David Hunt

‍📣 We at Simplex are pleased to announce the elevation of long-term friend and associate David Hunt to PPM Partner. As well as continuing to support the delivery of our client work, David will now take responsibility for our Project and Programme Management (PPM) Practice to win new business, design service offers, and lead customer engagements.

About David:

David is a skilled PPM expert with vast experience in delivery and business cases within the tech and transformation space within the public sector. He has a varied background from helping the UK procure exotic animal disease vaccines and migrating national security data centres to implementing customer-focused technology solutions. 

He’s proven to be results-driven, highly collaborative, and versatile, being able to adapt to any environment and deliver outcomes for the client. As an agile scrum practitioner and people-centric leader, he has demonstrated great methodology when managing change.

Additionally, as an EMCC-qualified performance coach, David is not only able to lead multidisciplinary teams, but can draw out the best from people with a supportive approach whilst still maintaining challenging deadlines.

He’s worked on numerous mandates including CRM, ERP, Business Process Services, Customer Services, and Digital enablement, and has helped both Local and Central Government departments save millions throughout his career across diverse programme portfolios.

Most recent notable mentions include: 

⏩ Led the production and authoring of programme business case and delivery model assessment for a government major programme - the Matrix cluster of the Government’s Shared Service Strategy.

📈 He led the design and replacement of the government's (HMT) major financial reporting system OSCAR 2, which tracks and reports trillions of UK expenditures and includes every UK public body.

🌐 Spearheaded the design, member engagement, governance, and appraisal of the Royal Borough of Kingston council-wide transformation portfolio covering millions of savings across a large and diverse scope of projects, critical in enabling the Council to balance its budget and stay on course in the MTFP.
